  • Sep. 24th, 2009 at 5:56 PM

Pokerstars is currently accepting applications from online players for Team Pokerstars Pro. They didn't specify how many people would be chosen. If you would like to see me on Team Pokerstars please email support at support@pokerstars.com & let them know this.

Thanks,

Pokerstars
Im defo emailing support. Don`t wanna see u on cake SNGs anymore! I wouldn`t mind but ur doin the low stakes as well!I`ve 1 question- based on the small sample size i`ve seen of you, u play reasonably tight. Is this due to your large scale multitabling or is it in your opinion the optimal strategy? It`s just I would`ve thought you would play looser to take advantage of your well above average post flop play.thanks.

Re: Pokerstars
Really I think you can do well playing tight or loose. I've done both. Multi tabling definitely factors in though.

Thanks for emailing support.

Re: Pokerstars support
I`ll throw this down as the marker. Let`s get a competition goin.
I feel compelled to recommend a player to become a pokerstars pro- and his name is jared hubbard or jhub3000 online. His understanding of the game is unparalleld ( I have had the privelige of playing with him a number of times). Were he to become a pokerstars pro, I feel he would add immense value to your brand, specifically, but not exclusively, higher volume players and new players who would take note of his large profit online at pokerstars. His blog is widely regarded as one of the most in depth analysations of life as a poker player on the net, so were he to move this blog to pokerstars I`m sure it would be quite advantageous for your business.

Drop a real blog plz!!
One of the best poker blogs I have ever read but there seems to be less and less to read. Why not switch to cash games?? I'm pretty sure playing the volume that you play, and table selecting, a losing month would be rare.

Congrats on the wedding and GL at the tables!

Re: Drop a real blog plz!!
I really don't feel like putting in the time to learn optimal cash strategy right now. I'd rather play SNGs until I'm completely sick of hem.

I disagree on losing months in cash being rare. Cash is tough right now so I think the variance would be pretty high. I'm sure my stakes would be more level instead of all over the place, but that's about the only reason I see cash variance being lower. The biggest reason I have losing months is that my overall results depend highly on a small sample of my highest stakes games. $500s just don't run too well & it will probably take me 5 years just to get a good sample in them. This is 1 of the main reasons why I stopped playing $1Ks on most sites.

Pro
I can't think of anybody else who deserves this more than you. The way you have conducted yourself over the years speaks volumes for you. I will let them know.

You left Stars mainly because there are a ton of regs, most of them don't care about table selection. Wouldn't it be still a problem if u were a Stars Pro?

With 100% rakeback I wouldn't really care. :)

100% rakeback
I doubt stars would give you 100% rakeback if you hit team online pro. My guess 60,000 in cash and 40k in poker entry fees... and the 10,000 VPPs during tournament time.

Re: 100% rakeback
It's a $100K bonus. Combined w/ the VPPs you make it would be 100% rakeback or more. The question is whether you're able to clear multiple bonuses at the same time.

Re: PS Team Pro
I certainly mentioned my sharkscope rankings but I don't think it will be quite that easy. :)

Thanks,

Well you have done major things in the poker community... and you deserve it more then most. I'm wondering when PS is going to make a decision...they said in November, then the 1st week of December...still haven't heard back.

Re: team pokerstars online
They are announcing the team Dec 23rd & everyone who is on the team has already been contacted. That means neither of us is on it. I didn't really expect to be since I haven't played on there in a while & am not sure if I would accept anyway. First I would have to talk to Cake & get them to keep my lifetime deal going. Second, I was concerned about how the bonus works. Are you able to clear the $100K bonus at the same time as you are the FPP & milestone bonuses? If you aren't I wouldn't even consider accepting. I just figured I'd apply & see what happens. Cake just introduced a new rewards program so I'm interested to see how that shakes up.
